Susan Crotty confirmed as Painesville’s next economic development director – News-Herald
Susan Crotty will become Painesville’s next economic development director on Jan. 3, filling a role that has been vacant since the end of August.
The economic development director “is responsible for planning, coordinating and tracking all economic development activities within the City,” noted Painesville’s job posting, as listed on the Ohio Economic Development Association website.
Crotty explained that she plans to work with the city’s existing businesses while also working to attract new ones.
“Painesville is one of those communities with a solid business base and it’s important to engage with the existing business community and understand what their needs are, and also follow up on existing projects and assist the city manager on getting some of those projects completed,” she said.
