KANSAS CITY — The keto craze continues.
The number of new food and beverage launches in the United States boasting the keto claim have almost doubled within the past year, according to Mintel’s Global New Product Database. Keto products accounted for 1.2% of total food and drink launches between June 2019 and May 2020, then that number jumped to 2.3% between June 2020 and May 2021.
Think!, a subsidiary of Glanbia PLC, is expanding its reach in the keto category with two new Think! Keto Protein Bars: Chocolate Mousse Pie and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. Sweetened with erythritol, the gluten-free, keto-certified bars contain 10 grams of milk and whey protein and 2 to 3 grams of net carbs.
