Former LI REIT exec launches new firm
A former executive of real estate investment trusts has launched a new real estate company.
Robin Zeigler, who formerly served as chief operating officer of Cedar Realty Trust and Mid-Atlantic COO of Federal Realty Investment Trust, has formed MURAL Real Estate Partners, which will focus on development and management of mixed-use assets in underserved urban and suburban neighborhoods throughout the U.S., according to a company statement.
Manhattan-based MURAL, which stands for Mixed Use Revitalization Approached Locally, was founded with a community-driven philosophy that balances ambitious development concepts with a sensitivity to the challenges in developing real estate in culturally distinct neighborhoods that have historically lacked accessibly priced housing and quality goods and services.
