CommunityWorks receives $300K grant from Truist Foundation
CommunityWorks, a statewide nonprofit lending institution and community development financial institution, announced June 23 it received a $300,000 grant from Truist Foundation.
The funds will be used to support CommunityWorks’ small business lending and Women’s Business Center programs.
“Truist has been a longtime partner of CommunityWorks,”said CommunityWorks CEO Tammie Hoy Hawkins. “This generous grant will allow CommunityWorks to further our work of building opportunities for small and micro businesses and entrepreneurs. It is with support like theirs that CommunityWorks can serve underserved communities by providing unique and flexible capital and knowledge building resources small businesses need to thrive.”
